On the Blue Fans…get ready for Nassau! We know that you may be thinking, “Nassau…been there, done that already.” Not this time cruisers! After almost 4 years of an extensive makeover, Nassau has been completely transformed. This $300 million renovation will be opening at the end of May 2023, which means it will be ready for us in 2024.

The upgrades include a complete revamp of the waterfront area including repairing and expanding Prince George Wharf, additional berths, and a brand-new terminal. Not to mention, there will be event and entertainment spaces, an Amphitheater for up to 3500 people, a living coral exhibit, as well as local food vendors and shops for guests to peruse.

Once you get outside of the terminal areaNassau is easy to get around, no matter where you go. You can rent a car if you like, but why bother? Most of Nassau's best attractions are in walking distance--or a quick taxi ride--from the NCL Pearl.

You can start your day in Nassau's Straw Market. It's in the middle of town, and very popular with visitors. Bahamian women started selling local crafts here when the native sponge business slumped. Today, this is a boisterous and varied market that always offers something new.

One mile west of downtown Nassau, you'll find one of the area's most enduring tourist attractions, Ardastra Gardens. The Gardens are small--just a little over 5 acres--but they're home for over 300 animals representing a wide variety of the Bahamas' natural inhabitants.

How about swimming with pigs? Yes…PIGS! Head to Rose Island and frolic with these sweet, domesticated pigs for the afternoon. Or, take a short Ferry Ride to Pearl Island and enjoy a VIP experience in an Oceanview Cabana. Spend the afternoon lounging in your private cabana, kayaking or paddle boarding while being pampered by your waiter waiting to serve you lunch and cocktails. to Paradise Island for an unforgettable adventure.

From Aquaventures at Atlantis and Dolphin Encounter tours to a relaxing Beach Day at Blue Lagoon, the Bahama Islands are magnificent, and Nassau is their crown jewel and the ideal place to make your On the Blue Cruise vacation an experience to remember.
